The short version: Excel files are read on your device. We store the form structure you choose to save and the responses people submit. We do not sell personal information.
01Information we collect
When you sign in, we receive your account identifier, name, and email address from the sign-in provider. We store the forms you create, their questions and settings, and the responses submitted to those forms.
When you purchase a subscription, Stripe processes your payment information. Excel2Forms stores only the Stripe customer reference and subscription status needed to operate your plan.
02How Excel files are handled
Your workbook is analyzed in your browser to identify form fields. The original Excel file is not uploaded or stored by Excel2Forms. When you save a form, we store the resulting questions, settings, and original filename.
03How information is used
- Provide, secure, and improve the form-building service.
- Save forms and deliver submitted responses to the form owner.
- Enforce plan limits and prevent abusive automated submissions.
- Provide account support and essential service communications.
- Operate subscriptions and comply with applicable law.
04Form owners and respondents
The person or organization that creates a form decides what information to request and how to use it. If you submit a response, the form owner can view, download, and delete it. Contact the form owner first for questions about their use of your response.
05Security and abuse prevention
We use access controls, encrypted connections, and ownership checks to protect stored information. To prevent spam, we temporarily store a one-way hash derived from connection information. These rate-limit records are removed after seven days.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid requesting highly sensitive information unless you have a lawful reason and appropriate safeguards.
06Retention and deletion
Forms and responses are retained until the form owner deletes them or deletes the account. Account deletion is available inside Account Settings and removes the account, forms, and responses from the active service. Payment providers may retain billing records as required by law.
07Service providers
Excel2Forms relies on infrastructure and service providers to host the application, authenticate users, store data, and process payments. These providers may process information only as needed to deliver their services and under their own privacy obligations.
08Your choices
You can export your account data or delete your account from Account Settings. You can also contact privacy@excel2forms.com for privacy questions or requests.
09Policy changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and provide reasonable notice through the service when appropriate.
